steve neighbors business consultant strategic sos

Steve Neighbors is an Idaho multi-entrepreneur with over 40 years’ experience in business start-ups and restructurings. Steve’s largest endeavor began as a sweeping company that developed into a heavy-highway construction concern that operated in 35 states. Steve grew this company 100% per year for 12 consecutive years earning Steve the 1986 Idaho Governor’s “Businessman of the Year” Award and an article that same year in Inc. Magazine. Steve’s 30 years’ experience in this labor- and material-intensive industry made him very knowledgeable and capable in diagnosing financial management problems and those concerning production, planning, and control issues. Steve developed several other companies over his lifetime in a wide array of industries including computers, supply/distribution, construction, and various service firms. All were successful and more than a dozen were start-ups.

Steve founded SOS in 2001 and currently serves as President of the company and SOS’ strategy specialist. Steve has assumed control of several privately-held concerns in all stages of failure. Steve has a tremendous ability to see big-picture and understand the underlying issues to identify unrealized opportunities, craft realistic strategies, and engage and leverage resources to execute that strategy. He possesses superior negotiation skills and is highly adept at managing multiple creditors and stakeholders to achieve the optimal win-win. Steve’s experiences with SOS have been abundant and highly diverse. These include assignments in a variety of industries including manufacturing (domestic and international), semi-conductors, homebuilding, real estate development, gaming, publishing, patent development/destruction, health supplements, road maintenance, university programs, and salvage, and Steve is presently driving the turnaround of an entire city. Many of these clients required special knowledge in areas such as bankruptcy, special assets divisions, EPA regulations, and IRS procedures.

Steve created SOS as a way to meet the growing demand for his skill set because he has an insatiable drive to help others excel. Steve delights in solving difficult problems with systematic and creative solutions. He combines his extensive pragmatic business experiences with his high level of formal training and accreditation so as to be neither negligent nor deficient in his stewardship to others.
