Jace Richards is an attorney with experience in the areas of bankruptcy, securities, intellectual property, personal and corporate taxation, trusts and estates (including conservatorship and guardian ad litem), residential and commercial real estate transactions, corporate law, and commercial transactions. Before moving to Idaho, Jace practiced civil defense litigation in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, and general commercial litigation in Bismarck, North Dakota. He also practiced in Washington, D.C., where he worked on large-scale investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Securities and Exchange Commission, and he worked for the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (now the Federal Housing Finance Agency) on the 2009 multi-district litigation involving three former Fannie Mae executives.
Jace joined SOS in 2009 and currently serves as General Counsel for the company. Through his private practice with The Richards Firm, Jace works closely with SOS and its clients to assist at all stages of client involvement by identifying and navigating through the multitude of legal issues that SOS clients face on a daily basis.
